In the present research, weld pool geometry, thermal cycle, temperature and velocity fields during gas tungsten arc welding of aluminum alloys. Much research has been conducted on heat and mass transfer  , fluid flow [4,5] and weld pool formation [6,7] in ordinary arc welding technologies, such as Gas-tungsten.

These studies, however, do not consider the effect of various conditions such as ambient pressure and joint shape, which can deform the arc plasma characteristics. On the assumption of linear additively of strength contributions, good agreement between calculation and experiment has been found for the flow stress of IF steel , nickel  and aluminum  and for the flow stress anisotropy in IF steel, aluminum and copper .
